Christmas Morning in WA

Christmas morning started early for me...in fact, I never really went to bed Christmas Eve. I was fortunate to stay up and deliver 3 babies. These exciting events delayed my arrival at home until around 10am. I had some tasty "boozy baked french toast" and I parked in the bean bag and Odin played Santa. It was a great morning.

I am reading to Soren "I love you stinky face," a fantastic book about unconditional love no matter what monster they are...it resonates with our family. Thanks Catalina!
Odin is proudly wearing his new head lamp from Uncle Dan, Aunt Danielle, Olivia and baby Harlow(yes, new niece born Dec 30...another girl!)

Our new hero is Captain America! Both the boys enjoy this shield as it protects and shoots foam discs!

Now that I have this fantastic vest that zips me up like a sleeping bag...naptime with Soren. We both knocked out for 3 hours while Ian made a delicious lamb roast for dinner. We ate and then I went back to bed. Merry Christmas!

And this is why the power flickered out twice at our house on Christmas day.

And this is why the power of the force is strong in our house every day.

This is laughter therapy.

The boys are watching a cute video called "Pingu." I think it is more fun to watch the boys while they are watching it. :)

A day in the life of Soren.

Summer memories

This is at the graduation party from Odin's preschool. He has one more year there.
Pure fun.

Tante Inger-Lise is teaching us the norwegian way to row a boat.

Videos and random shots...

Odin going off the makeshift jump in our driveway on a fall day.

We ran the Oktoberfest Brat Trot in Burien with good friends, Bjorn and Amber. The boys rode in the cart behind us. Chewbacca helped pull the cart. Bjorn and Amber really just came for the Seattle Sounders game, but we talked them into some Extra Fun in our town.

Soren feels right at home at the neighbors house.

Happy Halloween!

Chewy thought he wanted to be a pirate, but I explained that it wouldn't fit with the family theme...

Here we are at the "must do" house in the neighborhood. Soren finished and declared, "I did it!"

More ghoulish creatures and spiders. Batman and Robin did well.

Ian and the boys carved three pumpkins to share with the 450+ kids that made their way through our neighborhood. We ran out of glow-in-the-dark necklaces after 2hr and 5min!

Here is the happy Schwabs ...er...Batman, Robin, Catwoman, and Joker Family! Safely home and successfully tired.

Learning in the company of brothers.

Soren has started to sit on the potty. He doesn't do much more than read, but it is a start.
