This was right before we left for Colorado, but it's a good video of the boys playing before dinner.

So we like to dress up as dinosaurs and dragons... I (Ian) now have a dragon "suit" too. It gets a little crazy... think, all the people in those Japanese Godzilla movies screaming and running down the street... but with a brown puppy trying to eat Godzilla's tail.

We had 3rd Christmas upon our return home. It was a nice finish to our travels. The boys loved their matching glow in the dark PJ's.

Odin's BIG birthday gift! A new bike! He is really good on it! I (Ian) put it in his room while he was sleeping. The next morning I heard him wake up, run to the light switch, and exclaim "Wow!" He was trying to push it out his door into the hallway when I got to him. Me, "What's that Odin!" O, "A new bike for me!" Ian, "Happy Birthday Odin!" O, "You, you... put it in my room when I was sleeping. You're sneaky." Thank you Farmor! he loves it! Soren also recieved a little Push Bike. It's a small balance bike with no pedals to help train him. :) Soon for family bike fun!

Christmas 2010

CHRISTMAS 2010 Denver, CO. The Varda clan gathers!

Shot from the office on the second floor... not everyone is in it, but it was like a Christmas blender on the ice-crushing setting.

They were good friends... I (Ian) think I'm going to have to invest in ankle GPS anklets for them when they're older on the next family gathering.

Yeah! I swear the kid would have set it off in the living room had someone given him the chance :) Great gift! Just will have to wait for a cloudless day in Seattle if we hope to recover it for more than one launch.

We had a Deep Fried Dry Rubbed Turkey for dinner! Awesome.

So. There I waz, standin out in the cold, cigar lit, without a river for my kayak, and a turkey in hand... thinking, puffing, I need to get on one of these hot bikes and make a break for it while the goods are in hand...

How many guys does it take to deep fry a 14+ lb. turkey? (Left to right: Dan, Darryl, Andrew, , the turkey, Ian) That's a puff of cigar smoke... or perhaps the turkey's ghost? Note: Dan's fashionable safety goggles.

Colorado winters are amazing! Blue skies, warm in the sun, snow covered mountains on the horizon, and exploding deep fryers echoing throughout the neighborhood.

"Damn... that was fun." "Yeah. Good times." "Glad we didn't need a fire extinguisher." "Yeah..." "Lets do that again next year." "For sure."

Listen to Katie. Haha! But seriously, it was the BEST turkey I've ever eaten... I'm going to buy a deep frier set up before Thanks giving next year. Perhaps you too will get to experience this wonder of goodness. Dan was an awesome chief!
